Cool classic truck!
They need the vent windows.
Just rebuild them and call it a day.

Re: One Piece Window Kits: Brothers vs. OPP vs. Don't Do It!

I am torn, I like the clean look of one piece windows. The vent windows are great for getting fresh air in the cab and can be used to cut the direct wind in the face when the side window is open. My Chevelle has windwings too, with them cracked open it cuts the window noise down a ton. So I guess I'm in the vent window camp, sometimes function does follow form.

Have not done it so don't know but I did save this thread a while back in case I ever decide. I liked the fact that the one piece window did not need the filler piece. Thought I would post it in case you had not seen it, not sure what the OPP kit is maybe this is it ?

Re: One Piece Window Kits: Brothers vs. OPP vs. Don't Do It!

I had a 92 ford pickup with vents, and when I got my 94 chevy pickup and it didnt have them.... I missed them A LOT! Even with both trucks having AC. Again it comes down to whether you are going to use them or not... I do use them so I would keep them, if your not ever going to use them and have the money to put into a one piece glass kit. I say go for it. I cant say for which company as I have not dealt with their products personally.

One of the things that I have been waiting for (literally for years) is for somebody to put a video of the glass actually being used up on youtube. You would think the manufactures would do this as a selling tool and the fact that they don't tells me they are not very confident in the products they are offering.
Maybe somebody here on the board would like to do this?

Re: One Piece Window Kits: Brothers vs. OPP vs. Don't Do It!

i bought the brothers kit and installed the drivers side and the corner piece fit like crap, it rattled in the door, and the glass was too heavy for the factory window regulator. i took it out and sent back for a refund.

I think it looks clean, but I think I would miss the classic style of the vent windows.

I prefer the vent windows; use both those and the floor vents all summer.
I had a kit and sold it with no regrets.

With a nice truck, one-pc do clean up the cab's lines a bit though.

I think its a personal preference. I don't think they look great at all. I like these trucks for the timeless styling they offer us. Once you smooth em all out and get rid of the little things that make them a classic they aren't "My" style any more.

But like we always say, build the truck the way that you dig em, not me lol.
