Re: 67 CST Garage find
I intend to resore my 67 C-20 slant back and build a patina driver out of this score, all for less than the cost of a rust free 67 cab and doors.
And since you all are so good to me (except for giving me the sickness) I'll spread the wealth abit...give me some time to sort it all out. A bunch more pics comming in the morning...stay tuned. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 67 CST Garage find
Here we go...First the story:
67 Project listed on Crogslist, not to far from the house...with a rust free cab. I intended to try and buy just the cab for my 67 C-20 Slant Back, any money would have to come out of my Big Block 70 GMC project that is oh so close to completion. When I got there I see pretty parts EVERYWHERE, and this is in a subdivision cul-de-sac (Can you say Home Owners Association). The owner is a really nice guy who really loves these trucks and has been on our forum. He has taken everything apart and realized he was over his head, most of us have had that feeling at one time or another, the economy has also kicked his arse and the HOA is all over him, and the wife, and, and.... It went like this: Man, thats a really nice cab.. Yea, I paid $1300 for it...rust free though. You got a pair of rust free doors to go with that? Yep, rust free fenders too but I'd really like to sell it all together. Wow, those are nice fenders...you've got 6 fenders here, and 4 doors, and...those are really nice step side fenders and steps (I could feel the sickness setting in on me) and that hood is sweet too....whats in those boxes over there. I have some paperwork here too. Original invoice, owner notes, Owner's manual....and a Title! Next thing I know I'm writting a check..and he is pulling out more boxes full of goodies. Now keep in mind this is a project, the invioce says Fleetside, the Glovebox door and SPID are for the extra cab and white doors and fenders. The cab has some minor damage (you can see it in the back by the tunnel). I haven't decoded the engine or heard it run but he said he was driving it around the block before he tore it down and I believe him, he even offered me the use of his trailer, and we just met. I declined because I didn't have a light hookup on my S-10, and it seemed the right thing to do.

Re: 67 CST Garage find
I've already listed most of what I got so here is what I didn't get to complete a build:
No stepper slab sides or front panel No tailgate No bed rails I'm sure there are some other minor things but I've got a lot of stuff already. You guys feel free to coment on anything you see, good or bad, thats what makes this forum so cool...and like always I can use any info I can get (the sickness..you know). Thanks for looking and right now NONE OF THIS IS FOR SALE.

Re: 67 CST Garage find
Great score! So are either a CST? I see the custom on one door. A cst would have bucket seats.
Is that a rust hole above the door on the green cab???

Re: 67 CST Garage find
More paper work...it's like going back in time holding these notes in my hand.
No buddy buckets...the green cab is pretty much shot, I'll use it for patch panels. Mr. Sullivan changed the oil on the 17th every three months. Good job Mr. S! There is a build sheet in the back of the bench seat..not sure which truck its for yet but its my first one!

Re: 67 CST Garage find
Parts, parts and more parts...
The CST doors and Camper Special fenders go with the rust free cab I think, haven't had time to go through it all yet. The white grill is still bolted to the core support with the AC condenser and drier. The core support and inner fender wells are rock solid. The blue fenders are the best I think, I still have to go back and get the stuff on the side of the house. The green fenders are pretty good too.

More stuff.....
The owner knew his parts. I thought the guage cluster was repop because it is in great shape but after looking at the back it might be OEM....what do you guys think. More pics after lunch..

You have a very serious disease. You must move to my neighborhood in order for me to provide you with proper treatment for your ailment. First thing you must do, is give up all your earthly Chevrolet possessions. To me.

Re: 67 CST Garage find
Post-op
I don't think the white cab is a CST cab as it doesn't have AC but i have enough CST parts that I don't think I need to revise my original post. Thanks for letting me share this stuff with the rest of you folks with the "sickness".
