I have used 3m auto glass urethane (part # 8609) to glue up several headliners in 67-72 trucks. Works great.

That sounds like a great idea! I think I'll use that too when the time comes.

You guys that are using the trim (me too), be sure to glue the headliner up anyway. The factory did it and it will keep the trim from having to hold the weight of the headliner up there.

I would use the instructions on the Brother site, it shows exactly how, how many, where to cut the slots, and what glue to use.
