Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
Truck with a hacked up dash is a killer for me. Trucks without titles. Don't care for shortbeds stock height. Can't stand when guys butcher clean trucks with lowered suspensions, but a mild lowering job works on the shorts. Prefer longbeds, and 3/4 tons, but do have some shortbeds in the stash.

Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
I'm not going to say I won't buy them, I will probably pay at least scrap price. I despise:
all 1/2 tons Lowered trucks 4X4 short beds lifted 4X4's step side short beds 400 small blocks automatics (even if I have one) I also won't buy trucks too nice to drive. I am too worried about scratching them. |

Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
Anything that is not a 1 ton dually, anything that is not a Blazer, or a burban.
Anything with a blue oval on the hood. Anything newer than a 2000, I despise trucks made out of plastic and metallic paper mache. If I buy a dodge it is to pull the Cummins and junk the rest, unless it has a NV4500, Dana 60, or a Dana 80 out back. Id part those out too.

I wouldn’t buy one that’s been completely redone.
Just takes all the fun out of it! |

Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
I don't like lowered trucks but if the deal was right I would buy it & put it back to stock heigth.

Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
For hardcore truck users would needed to be able to load and unload from the side as well as the rear. If you wanted the longest pickup bed with the heaviest suspension, the C 30 9' stepside was your only '67-'72 box choice.

Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
Well said. Precisely why they are popular on farms. Having owned both fleet & step sides, the steppers are much more utilitarian.

Re: Any Truck you just wont buy?
Depends on my purpose for buying.
If it's just a toy then no longbeds, inliners, automatics, 4x4's, or 3/4 tonners. If it's a mule- then ixnay on the 1/2 tons, shortbeds and lowered stuff. Basically, I can come up with a justification to buy just about any of them except maybe a C50 hay wagon.....unless I convert it to a ramp truck to haul my other junk around!
