Love em! Nothing screams 1970s like a two tone brown truck.

Re: How aboot some pics Of Brown Trucks

A couple pics of my brown dually.

The dually is Light Camel Metallic. When I did the flatbed conversion and repaint,(bit more metallic), I left the body trim off.
I've moved a couple Beech 18's.

Here is mine, 85 long wearing factory two-tone light saddle and black. It's more gold than brown though.

Re: How aboot some pics Of Brown Trucks

this is one of mine when i bought it. the brown was a little darker than factory. The second pic is the color i replaced it with, which is spot on to the original.

that's the color I'm looking to re-do mine with. Where did you get your paint? How was it to spray?

is this toward me? lol

if so its RM Diamont paint. i got it from my local supplier, not part of any franchises. The paint is 1979 dark metallic brown and neutral tan. my SPID sheet from my glove box has the following codes for them:

81 - Brown
80 - tan

As far as the paint getting sprayed, its wonderful. i am pretty new to painting and it lays down really well for me. I have yet to have any tiger stripes, runs, or anything with the brown paint and ive painted all panels inside and out. the tan can be tiger striped if your spray patterns not right, but i have managed to keep it pretty good. i used u-pol spot and panel clear and fast hardener. wet sanded then buffed and it looks great i.m.o.

one thing i noticed is the first coat might look like it didnt lay as well as you would hope, but the second coat, and third coat if necessary, go down perfect. just do the correct process and it will be good.

A beaut' of an 82 Silvo pulled off the internet. 350/350, original paint, the color combo I want to re-do my 78 GMC with.
