Re: Dual Snorkel Air cleaner?

Wow- old thread I started and lost track of and didn't update. I don't remember when, probably back in '02 or '03, but I did get a dual snorkel air cleaner. Came from a '76 Corvette.

Not to hijack the thread, but since I’m starting to become a bit of a nerd with 2nd gen Camaros. Here we go.

The big block Camaros from 70-72 had dual (long) snorkel air cleaners if they didn’t have factory air. The ones with factory air had the single snorkel to leave room for the ac compressor.

And the dual snorkels for those cars are getting hard to find.

Re: Dual Snorkel Air cleaner?

I am installing one on my dad's 75 GMC Gentleman Jim.

It is a one-year dual snorkel from a 74 Camaro Z28. The base has short snorkels to clear the AC compressor/hose. The snorkels don't have flappers - they're open.

It had a flat chrome lid but we are replacing that with the tall black truck lid.

The truck has a Holley on it and we will use a short spacer for clearance for the fuel bowls.

Re: Dual Snorkel Air cleaner?

Not sure what year that is above.

Here's a thread about the 74 Camaro air cleaners. One year, two versions (points vs HEI)
