Re: Today was a good day

That's a nice black plated truck you have there. I have a whole front end with an almost new power steering box if you're interested - right now it's in Oxnard, but I will eventually get it up this way (Santa Maria) - it has a sway bar and 2" drop springs installed on it.

Is it just the box or do you have the whole setup? Price?

Re: Today was a good day

Whole set up. I haven't put it on the parts board because most people are too far away, and I haven't had a chance to get it. My truck is getting a ton of work done on it and I upgraded the front end. It's a '67 1/2 ton but the power steering box mounted on no problem and it drove very nicely, and it's the later model close ratio box. Pm me.

Re: Today was a good day

Replaced the rear slider that was missing a window with a deluxe solid window. Also installed power steering which makes driving this beast so much more enjoyable.
Next i will be rebuilding the doors/windows with all new seals. Bothers has everything on sale until the end of the month. Some great deals until the end of the month.
FREE slider missing one window. Local pick up only.

Got a new front seat so the original is up for grabs. Anyone local to Los Gatos want it?

Let me know which ones you need. If you cover shipping I'll send them to you.

Since he doesn't want to deal with the mess and has another newer truck he gave it to me
Ran great before the wiring fried. Now i need to figure out if I can just replace the melted wires or put in a new hardness. Also need to figure out what else was taken out.
Any advice would be appreciated...
I need neighbors like yours. Congrats!

I'll take a closer pic this weekend so you can tell me exactly which ones you need. I think the drivers corner is broken.

Re: Today was a good day

Have you licensed that truck yet? I hope so cause your neighbor is sure to be regretting giving that truck away. Once you have the title signed over and you've registered it in your name it's all done. Not only that but he has to see it everyday. He gave away a real nice truck. Glad for you though.

Re: Today was a good day

On that seat, if I remember right, that seat foam is unobtanium. It looks pretty whole in that pic. I'm sure it's too old to reuse without it coming apart, but I bet if you take good measurements someone (maybe even you) can recreate the foam from large enough blocks to have something good to offer everyone else...

Saw him at our road meeting today. He said he saw me driving it and was glad he gave it to me and not the junk yard
Yes it was registered a long time ago.
