Re: 1995 chev w/t 4.3 5 spd
Washed it the other day and took it for a drive, got a good pic. Also, changed the reflectors, orange aftermarket ones for the signals and clear for the top.

Re: 1995 chev w/t 4.3 5 spd
also put in new valve cover gaskets and cleaned up the throttle body. was messing around with the filter too, but don't think i'll bother, it's 1 prong air cleaner and a 2 prong throttle body. some cool stuff i saw at work too, a 53 international and a 56 buick super

Re: 1995 chev w/t 4.3 5 spd
So with spring rolling in and summer on the way it's almost time to brush off the snow and start chicken truck season! My plans for this summer are wider tires, hopefully a 2/4 lowering kit, fix the leak in the back window, get some better interior pieces gathered up, back bumper and front hangers, and a vortex muffler with duals. Hopefully it can all get done this year!

Re: 1995 chev w/t 4.3 5 spd
Got a lot of things done and I've just been too busy to post anything, so here's what's happened since my last post. Got brand new cooper cobra tires, 275/60r15 for the back and 255/70r15 for the front. Found a set of bumpers, both chrome, the front one with the long lower valence. Got a tool box and box rails, and that's about caught up. Here's how it all looks!

Re: 1995 chev w/t 4.3 5 spd
I can drive to where i'm going to college for $30 (a 135km drive), but yours would be a little worse with 4x4, never really bothered to figure out the milage but I always figured that's not bad on gas for a full size pickup. Gas is around $1.40/liter where I live btw

Re: 1995 chev w/t 4.3 5 spd
It finally happened. The transmission in my 95 finally bit the dust. It went completely dry of oil on the highway. I'm working on tracking down another one, but it's proving very difficult to find an 88-95 NV3500. I've only managed to find one guy that has one, but he's being an asshole and refuses any offer I give him, yet he won't give won't give me a price either (aren't those guys great?). Any east coast members think they can help me out?? In the meantime, I figured if I have to do a tranny swap, it's as good of a time as any to finally do an engine swap. I got a TBI 305 from a 1990 caprice with 90,000 kms (56000 miles) about a week ago, hopefully it's basically a plug and go job as far as the wiring harness, but I doubt it. I'll have to change the fan shroud and engine mounts as well. Anyone on here recommend getting a rad from a v8?
