Thanks, lots of NOS goodies. She's at the paint shop now for final touch-up (and windshield re-install).

Re: First Day Out
You just restored my faith in Sea Mist Green. Awesome!
I have a coworker that had his 87 SWB painted Sea Mist Green by a world famous painter but it doesn't look half as good as yours. The painter was someone called Earl Schieb. I also really like your back drop. |

Re: First Day Out
Reno,... would you care to share how much money you have in your truck?
I hate it when people see a truck for sale and say, "It's nice,... but it's not worth that much!" Alot of people don't realize the costs involved in building a truck to this caliber. In my mind,... your truck is perfect. I wouldn't change anything. (and I don't say that very often. Ha)

Re: First Day Out
Thanks Keith, I don't mind disclosing the cost as she won't be for sale any time soon. I'm right at 30K and I did most of the work myself, I did farm out the body and paint for 8K as I wanted it perfect (and that was cheap for the job they did).
You are right....people don't realize how much work it takes to do a full off resto. I would guess if I had consigned this build out it would have cost about 40-45K or more. Here is a shot of the engine bay....original 402.

Re: First Day Out
What a great stepper Reno! I just picked up a 72 recently myself and I'm starting the journey. Hope it turns out half as nice as yours.
