Some door designs are nearly impossible to get the clips off without using the tool too.
So, at what point is the tool used? I see there are a couple screws holding the vinyl on the door, and then there's the door handle and window crank.

Its late and I have to go check my critters but this will give you a big headstart.

The tool is for pulling the window crank and the inside door handle. If you look down under the lever arm to the shaft it is mounted on, you will see the ears of the retaining clip. Using the tool slide it down over the top of the trim ring and engage the clip ears, push back gently. You will probably push the clip off as there is developed feel involved. Chasing down the clips will be an incentive to develope this feel. It will take about three or four doors to do that. :-) Then it is a matter of pulling screws and the panel. Remember to mark or document the handles closed position or you get even more practice chasing clips.

That sheds a ton of light on it. Thanks so much!

Re: Driver and passenger windows hard to crank up and down

Hey guys, I have the same problem. My Blazer windows are really hard to roll up. I have just replaced all the hardware, scissors, felt on both sides, new handles, and they roll up ok about half way up then get tighter and then the last 1/4 of the way up, it takes 2 hands to roll up. I have lubed everything good and can't figure it out. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

Look at the felt channel and see if it starts pinching the window towards the top.
