Thanks! It is definately how I feel about just about anything I do.

I've been a lurker for a while, finally getting back into working on my build, so i figure I better be more involved in this great forum. A good buddy of mine is always on here and frequently sends me links and tells me about stuff on here, and it's always quite interesting & helpful! I hope to be able to contribute as well.

Just started reading your build, love what I see so far!

Thanks man, my dads always been *****en bout how long it's taken me and wants to see progress too. Hopefully when I get time from work ima start mocking up the PB parts. I'm buying a crate350 330hp/380tq with a 700R4 tranny of my cousin he has sitting in his garage, only 10k miles on it just needs to be stripped down and painted. I'll post up pics of the motor soon )

I actually started one a couple years back, I've been on and off with the truck since then, and the direction has changed slightly, and I've become older and wiser . I'm tuned back in pretty seriously now and I plan on posting a major update to the thread in the next couple days, and keeping it as current as possible as I go. Here is the link to that thread. Almost time to go do some work on it speaking of which!

Great lookin build, subscribed. Here is some more info on the "crew cab". They were mainly used by railroad companies back in the 70's, four front doors make it easy for maintenance and finding replacement doors.

I would say they are more rare then a standard issue 67-72 but desirable, not really.

Next epoxy primer/sealer and Rhino Line under cab

100% rust free, must feel like an early x-mas !
It did for me when I blasted my cab a week ago.

you're going with Rhino..I'm hearing mixed stories about it, I'm leaning towards Line-X.

Ryno liner hasn't been put on yet what's the pros/cons on both??

Well, a while back I was just googling around about Rhino and found some stories about the rhino peeling off, or rust underneath it, although people followed the right prep. (at least that's what they say)

I always thought you couldn't go wrong with Rhino, but I guess it doesn't hurt to check out the competition.

I think either or would be a problem tho since it was sand blasted and is getting sealed. Others probable didn't get all the oils/dirt/rust off completely maybe?
But going with X-Liner instead

congrats on a rust free/extra work free cab! Just got mine back from being blasted a week or so ago and I've got plenty of extra work now. :-(

I've had Rhino liner professionally sprayed in the back of a SuperDuty I had for a few years.. It was rock solid, never peeled, but it did fade after about a year to a dk grey. I built a Jeep a couple years ago and used Herculiner. It looked good and sprayed good, was rock solid too and never faded. I know several Jeeping buddies that have Raptor and Monstaliner and are very happy with it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the highly recognized names (Raptor, Line-X, Herculiner, Rhino, Monstaliner) as long as you prep that metal like they tell you too in the directions. With your cab being bare metal and sandblasted.. I would just hit it with a little degreaser to take care of any oils from handling it and what not, then go with the liner of your choice that fits the budget.

For sure man thanks for the info, ima degrease it and I still gotta call n ask for prices. Or might just spray it with herculiner myself and save me some money for the I-Level I plan on getting

Haven't had time to work on my project lately but I'm doing some progress this weekend for sure.
I ended up buying this Crate 350/SB with a 700R4 tranny from my cousin, it was a deal I couldn't pass up.



He got it back in 03' from GM Dealer and it's got 10k miles



I've had this Painless Wiring kit for a while so I'm wiring it up so I can crank it up
