Re: 67 swb keep bbc or swap to ls motor?

If you go ls you can get a victor junior carb intake and either run a carb or an efi throttle body setup on it. And you can get a msd 6010 box that will run the factory coils. It's a good way to go it you want the old scoop look with the modern motor

I would leave the big block in it. Change the cam and run it on E85.

I like the idea of an LS swap but nothing says cool like 396/427/454 under the hood, I mean lets be honest, when we all got into hotrodding we all wanted a 454 simply bc of the bada** factor. One one ever said dude its got a 6.2 liter in it and had guys and girls flocking to check out under the hood! There is a certain mystic to the big block! Tough and manly with its deep throaty exhaust note and massive intimidating shear size sprawled out under the hood...they are the stuff legends are made of

Re: 67 swb keep bbc or swap to ls motor?

I was thinking the exact same thing. So i sold the big block and went with a 5.3. I'm putting ac back in it and a hydraboost unit. The only thing is that i love the power my big block made, so i'm adding a turbo. This thing is going to end up being very expensive swap tho.....
