If I had do overs on mine I'd drive to Seattle or Portland and buy a complete Jag XJ6 front suspension and be done with it. They just aren't available in wrecking yards here locally nor are there many dead Jag sedans available locally.
I certainly don't make 100k per year and i put in a scott's unit. I will tell you this, for what you will spend with Scott's you will be getting 100x better customer service then the cheaper units. For Christ sake Justin was calling me on Christmas and New years eve answering my stupid questions! And taking care of a lot of other stupid things that I did. But lets not even go there, right Justin

Re: Mustang II advice

Ok let's do a little break down.
-$350-$450 for xmember kit
-$200-$350 for standard arms
-$250 for a decent rack n pinion
-$125-$200 for spindles
-$250-$450 on brakes... Easy
-$75-$100 on shocks
Plus time for fab and figuring the angles, mountin points, cost o boxing materials, hardware, bearings, pads, ect ect ect.

Yea that's the cheap hard expensive way. Just my .02.

Re: Mustang II advice

Slow4dr that is very interesting hat from TCI.
That will prevent a lot or re-alingment problems with a heavy truck and "pinched" bolts.
I asked that question years ago why no one used shims and a 90* mounting on the upper hat. I do like that idea for fast alingment!
It did take us a lot of time on the Scotts upper arms to get them equal and just right.... but I don't think we will ever have to re-alingn the front ene again.
Therei s not much to wear out on the Scotts, I will let you know after 50,000 miles!!
