Re: Pops and My build 67 C10

I found the problem with the window regulator. It was made wrong. The shaft is supposed to go all the way through but the maker decided to make the shaft too short! So the bottom of the gear just sat on top of the "bearing", and the spring actually was holding the shaft straight in the hole. Had them too long and can't find the receipt. So I tore it apart to see whats what.

Never buying anything from these guys again no matter what I may need. I cleaned up the original and it's working just fine.

More pics. Door panels are dark grey leather.

The new door latch mech that the handle goes on is made wrong. The end of the splined shaft where it tapers is too long so the handle won't go in far enough to lock in the clip, so I have some grinding to do.

We cleaned up and rebuilt the original window regs and door latches because the repro stuff was junk.

Buckets are ready to go in after we get the air ride computer repaired. As soon as you put power to it, it dumps all the air. It worked fine before it went to the body shop, now not so much.

Re: Pops and My build 67 C10

I didn't like the small space for my fingers to grab the armrests because of the soft leather panels, so I made some spacers out of some left over aluminum plate I had. Cut, filed to fit (each one was different) and polished.
Also I had to send the ecu and display off to Indiana. Hopefully RideTech can save it's life. If not, does anyone know where I could find another RidePro E3 ECU?

Working on the AC and fan shroud now. Tires after that. Got the air ride repaired but seriously not impressed with the way they built the plungers. I'm going to redesign them so they don't leak.

Going with the AR Torque Thrust D's. Fronts 17x8 and 17x10 rears. Yeah, 17's a little hard to find the right rubber but too late to exchange or take them back. Soon as it warms up I plan on getting this beauty done before this August.
