Re: T-shirt 4x4

While they are nice shirts some have been around a while. In fact the top left with the incorrect blue and white 69-70 is one I have had for most of the last twenty years. Not sure how many I have worn out. The problem is this thread is about 4x4 trucks that are not really represented anymore and the old shirts like Dick Cepeck's tended to run a little too stylized.

Yeah, post a thread in 73-87s so it can get moved to General Discussion . I think it's a great idea to do a shirt for each body style...starting with Napcos!

Re: T-shirt 4x4

well, i am in the process of getting the supplies to start making t-shirts, i am starting with digital transfer and see how that pans out, since it is a lil more then half of the investment as screen printing, i figured its worth a shot, i have started working on some designs,as soon as i get some finished i will post some up,,but for the most part, i like the look of an actual truck, only made into like a comic book format,,we will see how it all pans out, but im hoping to have some done in a couple of weeks, but an average cost of 15 bucks a shirt isnt too bad, when i was looking at all the custom t shirts online and they were between 15-25...only time will tell

Re: T-shirt 4x4

I show a vintage Dick Cepek t-shirt with a 69/70 Blazer when they first came out and nothing? (buncha numnutz )*. Ok,just for that,I'm showing my other favorite I cherish (I said CHERISH,doggonit!!). Both,I am trying to make last forever. With my favorite Ts,once they start showing their age they get put on my special occasion list. This one's about 17 years old now.
* really don't mind. I love it and that's all that matters. This is a tongue & cheek post (whatever that means?)

Re: T-shirt 4x4

Ive always thought this would be a cool idea, but then read back through the responses. Way too many versions wanted. Everyone wants one of their style ride (understandable for sure), next thing you know you need 30 different designs.

Re: T-shirt 4x4

thats ok by me,, thats the whole point of building your own truck,,its what you want...i just about ready to pull the plug on the whole shirt makin thing,,i was goin to go with digital as it was cheaper to start up,,but after looking at all the costs and talking to a bunch of people, screen printing is by far the way to go,,so my investment just tripled, but hopefully i will be able to see a return in less then a year, but screen printed shirts lasts 20x longer then a digital printed one, plus i can do light and dark shirts,,its just the fine detail that wont be there...yet,until i get it all figured out. i drew up these designs for these mirrors

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=555817

and i think i will use these for my first ones, i have all 3 styles in both lifted and lowered versions,i am going to draw up a rear shot and put that on the back,,just need to think up some cool saying to go on em

Re: T-shirt 4x4

CG wasn't knocking everyone doing their trucks different ways. His point is,if you look through the responses everyone wants a different design T. Digital is too competitive. You can go to Walmart and get one of those. I had one made with my tow truck for $10 including the shirt. Then,I spent $20 at a shop having FOR SALE across the top of the picture and on the back FOR SALE,what the truck is,and my phone #. I wear it to swap meets. It cost less than a listing in the Sunday paper and beats the heck out of wearing cardboard

Re: T-shirt 4x4

That's cool having it coming and going. I think I'd like it better with some angle to it,though,to give 3d and some sort of prop, background, something other than just a truck. Something to give it some action

I like the back look, I'm thinking also some angle, like the 67 of sstims on post #12. Great work though.
