We include all harnesses and equipment with all our kits. Everything is plug and play so you just need an hour or so of your time and a screw driver.

Unfortunately we don't. The only 4x6" we carry are JW Speaker LED units which are pretty pricy.

We don't right now. We're working on some prototype 5-3/4" lights. We actually have a group buy with another forum to get that one going.

http://www.dapperlighting.com/collec...t-group-buy-in

The only thing I have available right now are JW Speakers which are an LED light. Extremely nice kit but pricey.

Would anyone be interested in doing a group buy? 5% for every 5 kits ordered up to 30%.

Re: Plug and Play Projector Headlights Available

The website quoted $250.00, is that for each light or is that a price for a pair? Have you looked into the smallere square bulbs for a mid eighties GM truck quad light setup?

I am interested in both styles if they exist.

A pair. I believe you're talking about the 5-3/4" listed on our site. $250 is for a group buy I'm doing with another forum. Anyone is allowed to participate but it looks like we won't hit our goals to go into production on those units. I do have some 4x6 and 5-3/4 units coming in for testing in about 2 months. Maybe you would be interested in becoming a tester on them?

Re: Plug and Play Projector Headlights Available

Have you had any interest in these from the JK (2007+) Jeep folks?

I'm currently running JK Jeep headlights with H13 high output halogen bulbs which I've been very happy with, but am definitely interested in your kits because of the glass lens.

Yup we've had a fair share of JK guys. I'd love to get a set of Moderns on the newer Jeeps to see how they look. They give a pretty unique look on this one.

Re: Plug and Play Projector Headlights Available

Will these fit all 7" buckets? I once ordered 7" euro lights with halogen bulbs from LMC for my 70 C20. The shape of the back of the light did not fit the bucket and so I couldn't use them. The light would not nest properly in the bucket.

We haven't had any returns because they didn't fit. Occasionally people have needed to bend the bracket a bit to allow for the city light to fit or shave one tab a few MM to get them to sit 100% flush (more important on a projector than stock halogen). Mostly on the older vehicles which typically have more banged up brackets.

Re: Plug and Play Projector Headlights Available

So I'm a bit uneducated on this lighting thing. I know my '72 has 7" sealed beam bulbs. I once replaced some 7" on another '72 with something that took a little light bulb (HID I think) I didn't have a ballast or anything. Can you please explain the projector system to me. (although I have had Audis, BMWs and Land Rovers with them, I don't fully understand them). Do they take the little bulb like my HID did before? What is the ballast for? I looked on your websight and saw the lights, but am confused on the options. Which light bulb, which ballast, different wattage, though one of them is a lower wattage (35w) but more money? City Lights? or daytime running lights? I assume I would still need to keep my relay setup on my lights currently, or does your system replace the relays I already have? Sorry for all of the questions, but I'm not understanding.

I'd be happy to explain. The light you replaced wasn't an HID if it didn't have a ballast. The benefits of projectors are that you can put brighter light sources into them such as HIDs without blinding oncoming traffic. Projectors control higher powered light better than a reflective housing. HID bulbs have two electrodes inside that are powered and basically create an electric arc with the gasses/salts inside of the bulb. The ballasts start and maintain the arc so you can't have HIDs without a ballast.

Our site allows for people to use their own HID kits if they would like. The default configuration is our Halogen kit which doesn't need a ballast (although comes with HID wiring if you want to buy your own HID kit). We also allow for people to buy either just HID bulbs or HID ballasts individually or together.

A 35W HID kit is going to be 2-3x brighter than a 55W halogen bulb.

The city light is another small 10W light source located below the projector. Folks use it for different things: a DRL (day time running light), turn signals, or just leave them disconnected all together. It's up to you and comes with open wiring.

Our kit comes with heavy duty relayed harnesses. You would need to switch over to our harness to be able to use the high/low function on our projectors.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I'd be happy to answer/clarify.

Thanks!

Re: Plug and Play Projector Headlights Available

Thank you for explaining this. I think I must have used an h4 halogen bulb before. There was no ballast and I remember having to pick a bulb brightness. I remember it had a bluish tint to it. I later bought some light housings for my '68 that had a small light bulb in the bottom of the lense. I was going to use it for turn signal lights instead of the stock ones in the grill on the '68. I never installed them. So if I have those in the garage, what would I order from you to get a projector system?

The H4 lights are often sold with "xenon" bulbs which are just halogen bulbs with a blue tint on them. They actually perform worse than regular H4 halogen bulbs. Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-White-H...0f97d0&vxp=mtr

Are those housings your purchased headlight housings?

You would need one of our projector housings (Classic Chrome/Black, Modern) which will replace your current headlights. You will also have your choice between a halogen setup or HID setup. If you want to shoot me an email with what you would like, I can put it all in a cart for you and send you a link. I'll include some installation information so you get an idea of how it will wire up.

Yes they are headlight housings with glass front lenses. That is why I bought them originally because they had the glass lenses.

Ah I see. You would use our projector housings (glass lenses as well). If you want to get rid of your turn signals, I would put a Yellow T10 LED bulb into our city light slot and connect them up to your turn signals.

I also have some custom Modern style prototypes that I can sell. The light output on those are fantastic. You will need to custom wire them up since they don't come with any finalized wiring harnesses. The lights were made with a CNC machine and don't have any tabs. You might need to shave the rings down or adjust your brackets. Shoot me an email if you're interested in those.

So these are built with hid bulb optics in mind? Also, do you have any output shots farther away from walls? I have morimoto minis retrofitted in my gmc denali housings, so driving with h4 "euro style" lights in my c10 feels about like being blind thanks.

I only have about 10 orders for the 5-3/4" so it doesn't look like it will happen. I do have some other prototypes coming in 2-3 months that you guys might be interested in.
