Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
The $20 I put in the fuel tank every time I go out for a stroll around town......$20 and the looks I get......Cant beat that!! Other than that, every dollar I have spent has been the best I could have spent...from the wheels and air ride, engine and trans to the rear differential, or be it the digital dash or all the custom interior.....every dime to every dollar has been well spent.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
It has to be putting power steering in. I can turn the wheels, while not moving, with one finger.
Both my wife and I are very happy. She'll even ask me (after a three point turn around or something), How many hands did that take?

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Best money I have spent so far was the $$$ I gave that white haired man to rebuild my HEI and "rebuild" my brand new carb. WOW! what a difference. Some things can't be taught. Just experience and just knowing stuff.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
I would have to say that 4/6 drop was the best $$ for the appearance and sway bar, 700r4/3.73 posi were the best $$ for driveability.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
For me it was the purchase of my GMC in the first place. Got to drive it cross country and spend quality time with my brother in law as well. We had some great memories of that trip.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
The best money spent was redoing the front brakes. New rotors, pads, and bearings while I was at it. The old rotors were already turned wayyyy too far.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Best money yet was the airline tixs for me and pops to fly to WA. to see the truck I ended up buying. Then it was the $$$ to get it shipped to my residence. All worth it.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
I haven't spent much that wasn't good money, but living here in the middle of the Mojave desert, I'd have to go with A/C.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
The best $ I spent on 'Rose' was the $125 I bought the bucket seats and console for.....not a misprint...$125.
I have cherry set of real 70 truck buckets stashed away for a rainy day that I paid about 5 times that for, still money well spent. Here is a pic of the cheap ones when I brought them home

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Lot's of interesting responses... I used to say a/c was the best money I ever spent on my truck... and it's probably still somewhere near the top.
My brother has a 71 c-10 that's been lowered 3.5/6, 17" grey centered Torque Thrust II wheels, added a front sway bar, Vintage air, LS 6.0/4L80 with a nonstock cam, headers and a high end tune... But says the best money that he's spent... His Early Classic hidden trailer hitch. |

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
At the moment it is definitely the hella headlight swap and relay, but I have a feeling the lq4 will far surpass that as the best money I spent on it.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Well, over the years, I've spent somewhere beyond $35,000 on mine. I love the LS1/700R4/4.11 combo. I like my paint job and interior. I like my drop kit. I like my wheel/tire setup. I like the 5-lug disc swap. I even liked how great it felt when I installed the sway bar and new bushings. But overall, nothing tops the way I felt when I walked over the hill at the NSRA show at Chilhowee Park and saw that black stepper sitting at the edge of the pavement.
That initial moment when I knew I found "the one" just HAS to take the top of the list.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Factory Cruise!! I put more than 100,000 on a SWB '72 without cruise and my ankle/foot used to ache after long trips. Factory cruise is stupid expensive but worth every penny.

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Spent $25 on a leather wrapped steering wheel (from a '86 Buick T-Type) in dark blue. Smaller that the stock wheel and fit prefect!

Re: "Best $ I ever spent" ?
Just little things for me. Front Sway Bar, Headlite Relay, Truckseats Seat Cover, & soon to be installed Sony XPlod with USB Port and 3:08 posi instead of the gas guzzling 3:73's.
