Re: working squares lets see them

We had in the Netherlands C10's as elite police cars for a few decades. They easily loaded 12 people on saturday nights

C10's started in the 60's:

A little "light work":

A little heavier duty:

A little "show car" work (I drive it to work every day):

Re: working squares lets see them

The dark gray 86, just changed charts Thursday with it. Was able to get into most wells in two wheel drive with a little throttle. Works way better if I don't have to ride the quad (way cleaner). The light gray 82, got it given to me from a neighbour. Put a clutch in it and different tranny, lifted it, and threw new tires on. Drove it from mid October until about a week ago. Run like a top. Total investment 900.00. Pretty hard to beat that. The blue 80 was given to me. Some deer damage on the front end - bumper still needs replaced but drives good. It's the wifes truck (she won't let me near it).

Ya,no kidding!! I was going into a compressor site on Sat. with the 86,couldn't tell some of the road had been washed out...covered over with snow & bounced it through a 20" ditch.Other than rearranging most of the stuff inside cab & broke rear shock, nothing else happened.Try that with a newer IFS truck!! It would still be ditch!!!Old Chevys rule!!

wish i got to ride my quad at work! (what you riding?) hefty looking bumper on d. grey! like your l. grey-drove till a week ago, awol? you sure have some nice neighbors! your wife's truck- do something small APPEARANCE wise at first (when she's not around if necc.) it will then slowly snowball, it's what i did with wife's envoy (had ORDERS not to touch!)
small (first couple yrs)-mudflaps, vent visors, amp & sub, grille
getting bigger(few more yrs)-rims & tires, borla muffler, better shocks
notice, appearance only, still not allowed to touch the mechanicals. hopefully in a few more yrs she will see she needs that 3" lift & mudders!

The bumper was a kijiji thing,at 200.00 I couldn't pass it up.Quad is a 2000 Poaris sportsman,it's ok to ride on nice days.Winter doesn't want to let go around here yet, pretty cool -5 C...Just giving the 82 a break,I like using the 86 in the mud better, the 350 will stand more abuse than the 6.2!!

Good looking rig. I have one of those lawn mowers, it is a 154. It has been a while since it has seen any use.

It is one of my some day projects.

They're just the base model work truck grilles to my knowledge. They came out with the side-by-side V-series lights.

EDIT: Yep, looked them up... They are:

15628797 GRILLE, RAD (CHEV) (EXC V22) (1989-91)
15629622 GRILLE, RAD (GMC) (EXC V22) (1989-91)

Reference RPO V22: GRILLE, RADIATOR(CHROME) CHROME GRL(V22)

From what I can tell for 81+ V22 also includes dual front lamps.

This is what I've been wrenching on. 86' C30 dually crew cab. Carb'd 454, TH400, dual exhaust, no cats (from the factory). Used to haul a gooseneck trailer, now this 4 horse slant load trailer to shows.
