Re: Lost her cause of her ...

I have found that not all women are created equal. The two of you must learn to grow together. Interests may go in two different directions and should be respected in either. The women you fell in love with is still right over there, just evolved a bit. You are not the same either. She may love to dance but you love to rebuild carbs. So we have to dance a little and she has to ride in your truck a little.
If I were to run into my ex from high school I would have to relearn who she is now cuz she's not the same. (I still talk to her)(she's hot)
You already know what I'm about to say and this is just reinforcement.
You have to like what she does and she has to like what you do-whatever that is or is tomorrow. Unless it is another person, everything else is ok.

Re: Lost her cause of her ...

I guess I'm fortunate to have a wife that is standing right beside me every step of the way when I'm in the shop. Not only does she love the fact that I'm building my dream hot rod pickup, but she also has her own 58 GMC to work on. No matter what you do in life, there has to be a balance. I have given every ounce of energy, respect and love towards my wife and she gives it back 10 fold in return. This creates a pretty strong bond, knowing that you'd do anything in your power to make your partner happy. There have been a couple times when she groaned about seeing the Visa bill but hey, it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission

This X2! Leave girls alone til you (and the girls) are older and more mature and actually ready for a serious relationship. At 17/18 you and girls your age still usually have to go through four years of college. College isn't exactly "real world life" and people that age are still figuring out life and who they are. It would be best for you and whoever you're interested in to settle down and get a level head first. Get that behind you and them, and then start looking. Cautiously looking! I seriously only know one level-headed 17 year old; their grandparents are about to hand down the family business to them.
