Re: Trading Overtime, my build thread
Nice job, I'm using SPI products on mine too including the epoxy. Your right it does lay down nice as does the Matte Black they have.

Re: Trading Overtime, my build thread
SO it has been a few weeks. But I have made progress. It was hard to get into the garage working what should have been a normal 40, but three days back to back were 18-22 hour days. (I was a little beat and just wanted to hang out with my feet up) lol
But I am FINISHED with the big stuff in the interior. Now all that is left is bolting the seats down, hiding all the amp and speaker wires and a few little tweaks. And then put the bed on. I bought some speaker corner brackets from the board member bigblock73. And they are HIGH QUALITY. I would suggest them to anybody. And he is awesome to deal with too. I got the seats covered in the new black leather too. It wasn't too hard....just very involved (especially when it came to the center seat) lol.....But just take your time and you'll be able to do it. its awesome that it smells like FRESH leather whenever I open my door now I also replaced all the glass and weather seals. Including rebuild the vent windows (or some call them wing windows). And that definitely takes a couple extra hands you don't have if you want them to come out right. I added carpet to the kick panels and on the bottom of the door. And I glued the vinyl to the door panels. I then decided that I wanted to not drill holes in the brand new panels I just assembled for the screws that attach it to the door. So I came up with an idea of super gluing some Velcro at the bottom of the door panel where the screws would go (did the same to the kick panels) We'll see how well it holds... And if anybody wants to know, I got a few of the ideas from this forum. Like the 50's style Chevrolet script on the glovebox door. And the sweet 55 (I think) Chevy truck door arm rests Here are some pics

Re: Trading Overtime, my build thread
Great job on the interior it looks very nice.
Those seats look super comfortable, the kind where you can drive 500 miles straight and not feel a thing. |
