Re: Problems starting when engine is warm

Sometimes T-stat sticks and causes overheat.
Not a bad practice to replace t-stat every several years.
Many other things can cause overheat also.
Did you get a chance to check advance at about 2500rpm?

Re: Problems starting when engine is warm

anyone got a suggestion on were timing should be?

350 block redone this winter.
bored 30 over
flat top piston, running 10-1 compression
Lunati 10120701LK cam
vortec heads
edelbrock 1406

also wondering about radiator cap... bought a new radiator from oreillys. They only offered the 4 row murray radiator. original was only 2 row as has no AC. radiator cap goes on but doesn't seem to have any tension or have to be pushed to unlock.

had no issues before timing was set to 10degreegs btdc with overheating
