Re: HYPOTHETICALLY speaking....

The only things that will be in the Suburban are the medical supplies for my son, food and the Chocolate Lab....and of course my youngest son.
We will be selling EVERYTHING we own and starting over there...the only things going are the medical stuff, clothes and my 7yr olds toys and "1" of my tool boxes...Everything else is getting sold.

I live in Marshall. It's about 2 1/2 hours straight east and a little south from there. It is about 20 miles from the Indiana state line.

We think a lot alike. I was born in WA. Grew up in SoCal. Sick of the CA politics, crime, culture and taxes. My parents relocated back up there early last year. Now we're gettin the hell outta Dodge and moving back up to God's Country.

Likewise, we're also selling everything and starting over. We're taking clothes, trucks and tools and that's about it.

Good luck, Buddy. You (and by that, I mean "we") are gonna need it.

Re: HYPOTHETICALLY speaking....

Hi
I'd pack/drive the burb, tow the packed up car, ship the other truck if if don't sell it
if you need to go quick to get something medical
running around a town in the car would be easier/cheaper

a friend moved out to the west coast,he flew had his car shipped
when the shipper showed up for his car he packed it full of cloths and other non- valued stuff
he had it all over the lawn taking pictures, itemized on a list gave a copy to the driver
(so driver knows, and owner knows whats there)

Unfortunately you can thank our govt for this.....we dont tax china for the imports, but we get taxed for our exports...same with japan. they build a 'quality' car for less than American built cars which in MOST cases are foreign crap anyway!
Our system is soooo backwards it's not funny....let "ILLEGALs" come to California and get FREE college tuition,FREE medical, housing allowances, not pay TAXES and NO ONE will stand up and do anything about it (for fear that some civil rights activist will file a law suit and some corrupt judge will be payed off anyway)....then they go around flying their countries flags! Kind of a slap in the face of AMERICANs if you ask me....another reason I am LEAVING CALI!

Exactly! Sometimes that sarcasm and joking attitude doesn't come across in text so well. Personally, I don't care what anyone else drives...I know what I like and what works best FOR ME.

there have been MANY DMV officials caught selling DL here to illegals.....there was one lady that made over 300g's and never did any time for it! She was even on the new about 2yrs ago.
And I dont know what part of "ILLEGAL" gives them more rights in AMERICA than me.

Re: HYPOTHETICALLY speaking....

I don't blame you Lance for bailling on The Peoples Socialist Republic of Kalifornia. I left late last year for Florida. I would tow the truck behind the Suburban and have the wife drive the toyota or sell the toyota and pick up a good gas mileage vehicle when you get to IL. In todays market there are plenty of newer vehicle out there for sale to replace the yota...jmo
