Thanks.

Does anyone have a picture of a complete bed minus the wood? Trying to get a better idea of how the cross sills look because I don't think this one has them all and im not 100% sure how all the bed goes together.

I have been combing through pictures here and the FAQ thread to see if I could see pics but most have the wood or something else covering up what I need to see.

When I look at the LMC catalog.....It shows 6. Well Im not sure if some are just showing two styles or if there should be that many.

This correct to a point, the 60 to 62 frame is wider at the rear, so the very rear bed sill that is attached to the bed has its mounting bosses wider apart by two inches each side, now for the removable bed sills shortbed has four, plus a bed stiffening rail that is attached just behind the wheel wells, plus another note there was a thread a while back concerning frame to sill rubber pads, some original trucks that are on here say they`re trucks don`t have them, not sure either way whether or not they had sill pads.

Anyone know the dimensions on the rubber pads? How thick are they?

Mar-K says there's are 1/4" thick, I don't think the thickness is critical as long as they are all the same, but would think no thicker here is there link you might have to hunt for it on the site..Vernski

My truck was one of the trucks that had no pads between the frame and cross sills. I could not see any evidence that it had ever been apart in any respect concerning the cross sills. My truck is a 65 GMC and as far as I could see it never had any. But the factory assembly manual indicates they were suppose to be there so I put them in it, anyway I just thought it was better than metal to metal contact. Thanks Rich and good luck JWeeler..Vernski
