Re: Solid front axle ride?
I am running a 3" CPP drop front axle with the rear flipped. I am only running 3 leaf springs up front and a full set out back. The ride is rough but thats to be expected when removing that many front springs.
As far as the scrub line I am good with my 15" rims, found that out when my front tire blew out while sitting in the parking lot at work. |

Re: Solid front axle ride?
I'm with ya on that one brother. If one tire goes flat, not an issue but if both were to blow out, I'd be spending a bit of cash to repair my entire front end. 215 75's hey? I'm running a 215 60 on the front and I'm thinking that might be a bit to low

Re: Solid front axle ride?
after driving mine with a pair of 205 60 R15 up front, I think I'm going to have to change up to something with more rubber on it. When you hit a bump, you sure feel it. There just isn't enough rubber cushion there to absorb the shock of the bump. Other than that, it rides and handles as I expected it to. The 17" stock steering wheel helps with the ease of the steering but is so damn huge to handle, it's like steering a bus. So I'm on the hunt for a nice 15" steering wheel instead

Re: Solid front axle ride?
Steer tire blew on a truck at work Saturday and it flew right off the rim. So it does happen. Are you running the stock bump stops up front? I put 1/2 inch ones on mine and it does bottom out sometimes but not all the time. Should give you an extra inch or two of travel. Doesn't sound like much but it makes all the difference.

Re: Solid front axle ride?
I'm not running any bump stops right now and haven't bottomed out anywhere. But I've been pretty choosey on where I drive right now
