Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
so would custom backspacing be an additional cost onto that? Damn their prices are quite a bit more than centerline...I just have a hard time finding a nice tire for a 20x12 is all. I am going the "Delmo" wheel route but want the big lip out back in an 8 lug wheel. Want to keep her 8 lug just because....So need a good offset or narrowed a arms for the front, and want the big lip in the back and am getting the 14 bolt ff narrowed.

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
The Centerline's are a 1-piece forged wheel, where as the Intro's will be custom built to your backspacing.... no additional charge. The Intro will run more because it is 2-piece and take a little more to build. The 8-lug version of Intro wheels do run an additional cost though, because they use a different center. My only other concern, is finding an old style dog dish cap that will cover the large 8-lug bolt pattern diameter.
The wheels can be built, but finding a cap to clear, may be difficult. I am not sure if one exists large enough to cover the 8-lug pattern, but I am not for certain. |

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
Caps won't be an issue...have that figured already I believe. Bolt pattern is only 6.5" roughly across. It's only 3/4" larger each side of center.
Can you get me a price shipped to 58329 (shipping depot with a loading dock) on a pair of 22x10 and 22x12s? And also find out what the minimum and maximum backspacing they offer? And that is for an 8x165.1 or 8x6.5 bolt pattern with the large center hub. If the offsets are right I want to order a set of skinnys up front 8's? at max with alot of backspacing to bring them inward towards the frame. thanks a million...

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
any chance anyone has some pics somewhere of the 8 lug versions or a 20x12 in any lug with a 4.5" bs? Would like to see some pics before I order but can't find a single thing anywhere.

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
Travis, on one of Delmo's post, it shows the clips being drilled and wheels painted, taped off and such. Am I correct then by these post that if I want to run Centerline's cap and later switch to '56 that these are two different wheels? The large cap doesn't look as good as smaller cap. I've run Centerlines since the '70s on everything.
I noticed on another post that you showed a Porterbuilt Stage 1 and Stage 2 kit to someone to lower his c10, but I didn't save it. It looked like you showed him the Stage 2 Deluxe kit. I just bought a '69, can't afford full PB now, would like to move in stages. I know it cost more this way, but $$ is $$. I would rather spend $$ on PB Stage1/2 than static and have to change all this later. Could u price for me please. Thanks |

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
Just found out that 24x10's are now available in the Smoothie wheel, for both 5 & 6 lug. They will come with a 6" backspace.

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
They said it is because the production runs are smaller, so it drives the price up compared to the 20's or 22's.

I think the GM dog dish cps will be too small to cover the larger 8 lugs, but not 100% sure. |

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
I've asked Detroit steel wheel about production of 8 lug 20" steel smoothies, if there's enough interest I'm sure they'd make them.

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
Ive been talking with detroit steel for a year or more now about those 8 lug wheels. All I hear is that they are in the works, but not yet available.

Re: Pro Performance - Centerline Smoothies
No, I unfortunately don't have any 8-lug wheel images, other than what is on their site. The 8-lug will look similar to the 6-lug.
