Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
Depends on the motor, if the 5.3 then out the turbo and split under the rails. 6.0L Texas Speed 1 3/4" headers to SS pipes to Borla XR-1's to holes in the quarter panels just ahead of the rear wheel well opening.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
If you have not bought your manifolds, you may want to look into FAST motorsports used TBSS cast iron manifolds.................... shipping was more than the cost of the parts!!

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
I run those manifolds with ece mounts. This might give you an idea how they look mounted. They actually tuck in tight<a href=http://s1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/Daaaanz67/?action=view¤t=8a519411.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://i1055.photob<a href=http://s1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/Daaaanz67/?action=view¤t=16a43f91.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/Daaaanz67/16a43f91.jpg border=0 alt=></a>ucket.com/albums/s501/Daaaanz67/8a519411.jpg border=0 alt=></a><a href=http://s1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/Daaaanz67/?action=view¤t=3f3c2a29.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/Daaaanz67/3f3c2a29.jpg border=0 alt=></a>

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
I am having the same issue as you flynavy! FML.
Are these the same CPP mounts you have? I was told that there is like two different types of CPP tubular mounts. Those ECE ones look so much more spacious. DAMN CPP!!!!

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
Yup! Those are the ones. They work really well, but you have no option other than the Doug Thorley headers. On the plus side, they're really nicely made headers....on the minus side, they're $600. I got mine from Summit Racing and they fit really well. The only down side, if you're running a column shifter for the transmission, you need to also swap the shift linkage to the Lokar kit that Summit sells as well....its $57.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
As an aside, I also ordered the Flowmaster "choose your own adventure" C10 exhaust kit. Its set up to work with long tubes and allows you to choose whether to turn the exhaust out in front of the rear wheels, behind the wheels at a 45, or straight out the back.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
BBC sells a stainless steel set of shorty headers for the 2010+ Camaro for around $500.

I started with the TBSS Manifolds. Then had some headers made with x pipe and 10 series dumped.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
I just picked up a set of '07 trail blazer SS manifolds this weekend for my '76 project. I got in a hurry and tried to stuff the 4.8l in the truck with the stock manifolds on it and I can see why they don't fit, to wide. Now the SS manifolds tuck tight and are more rear dump. I also got about a foot of the down pipe and flanges with my new to manifolds.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
Picked up some trailblazer SS manifolds for the 4x4 build I'm doing.
No dice. The solution: Planning to weld some pipe to these to get the outlets away from the frame, and then a couple of 2.5" V-bands to connect to the rest of the exhaust.

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
5.7 6.0 CADILLAC CTS 2004 2005 2006 2007
6.2 CTS-V 2009 12578029 Manifold 12578030 Manifold 6.0 Trailblazer SS 2006 12600526 MANIFOLD 12600527 MANIFOLD 12597916 SHIELD 12597917 SHIELD Both are tighter to the engine than the stock truck. The CTS dumps higher above the frame rails and about the middle of the last two ports. I am using these on an LC9 in a 1950 truck, its similar in frame width to a 67-72. I tried the Trailblazer ones but they dumped at the frame on the left side and had no room for the studs. |

Re: What exhaust are you guys running with your swap?
I found this out myself about a month ago, TBSS manifolds won't clear a 4l80.... Looks like headers are in my future.
