Re: Headed to St Louis to meet Ozark Tim and pick up a longhorn
Heh, Got it. I'm from NE Ohio so snow and ice are normal. Just winter. Here in North Texas, people seem to think gas and brake are binary--on or off. Or, 5MPH is the speed to drive if it gets cloudy.

3 deaths along 44, not a bad choice to stay home. I had to get out to plow, nothing my miata with studded tires on the back couldn't handle. Beat all of the 4x4s to the plows.

Re: Headed to St Louis to meet Ozark Tim and pick up a longhorn
Well now I am going to try Sun the 29th, it will be a real quick trip (if a 5 1/2 one way can be quick) lol. I'm going to plan on leaving around 5 in morning and be out there late morning and back on road after that. We will see what weather does though

Re: Headed to St Louis to meet Ozark Tim and pick up a longhorn
Still planning on leaving about 5 in morning if we don't get the freezing rain they are calling for and this head cold isn't killing me. Might be a long trip with a bad head cold

Re: Headed to St Louis to meet Ozark Tim and pick up a longhorn
always wondered is it worth it to do such a drive like that for just a parts truck. do you really make money on a truck like that? just wondering I have had the opportunity to do it a few times and have a longhorn myself I am thinking of parting but is it really worth it

Re: Headed to St Louis to meet Ozark Tim and pick up a longhorn
If I added all my time parting, hauling, selling, boxing, I probably make a $5 an hour, but I like to do it
