Re: Think im going with 22s

I know the stance is all off but im thinking 22s out back 20s up front. Eventually liwering it so the rear rims have a slight lip. Fronts just under fender line.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Think im going with 22s

so, lots of info on big wheels and drops - but, what about brake upgrades to help the wheel look better than with tiny stock brakes, and to help stop all of the momentum the big wheels/ tires give?

Re: Think im going with 22s

I want to see 22's in the rear with a meaty sidewall, and 20's up front. Whole truck would be lowered, I'm just trying to set up a nice muscle truck thing I'm trying to picture in my mind haha.

Re: Think im going with 22s

Hey!! My name is Michael, I am new to this forum.

I have a 67 GMC lwb that is lowered 5"s

I have just though this last week put 22" Caddy Rims on her all the way around.

22x10s to be exact
285x45 front
305x45 rear

I also at the same time put 1 1/4'' spacers in the front and 1 1/2'' in the rear.

the pictures are not the best i just took these.

Re: Think im going with 22s

Here's my two cents, take it for what it's worth :P

If you do 20's all around, get the truck as low as possible and make sure you have more meat on the rear. Otherwise, the sizes look different as the rear well looks larger with the truck sitting a bit higher in the rear.

OR... if the truck is static drop, I prefer seeing 20's up front and 22's out back. Just fills it out better (again, unless it's level).

Yea..... that's my...uh... "professional" opinion.... from a guy that works in the natural gas industry lol.

Re: Think im going with 22s

20/22 with a 6/7 drop. This how it sits with the roof on. When it's topless, which is 90% of the time, the tire to fender well space is even.

Re: Think im going with 22s

Mines are 20 all around with a 3/5 . Soon to be replaced with bags and 22s. On pic passenger front was higher due to a problem with spring after oil change . Noticed it after I made it to a cruise in!!!!

Re: Think im going with 22s

I am back n forth trying to figure some nice wheels for my ride. Im looking at a cheap alternative on craigslist. 22" Starr rims with he said a 50 series tire same size all around. 600 bucks they look nice. Do you think they will fit?
