Fesler says the reason they don't have LED's is because the heat put off by them will melt or distort the lens. Last I talked to them....they were trying to get something figured out, but nothing yet.

Leds need to be a certain distance so they don't melt the plastic. So they would have to redesign the bezel and casing. The reason it doesn't work or you can't use their stuff is because they are only selling you a bezel and a lens that will fit over the existing old stuff with some modification in the corners. In order for them to sell a bezel and lens that would accept an led, they would have to make back that would remove the old back bracket thing and replace it with something of their own. If they do that, it will definitely increase the price.
