Re: 503 engine
Well guys the 503 is back where it belongs under the hood. All mounted up trans bolted back up, most smalls are back on, waiting on radiator to come back not many guys do that work around here anymore since like you all know a radiator is now a throw away item. Hope to start it next week.

Re: 503 engine
Due to my lack of funds, that engine would have been hanging from a tree branch for the install!

Re: 503 engine
Did not want to start another thread but do any of you guys know what wheel size I need. Truck is a 56 Gmc 630 it has tube type 9X20 wheels I would like to up grade to a tubeless one piece wheel. Friend dropped off a 11X22.5 fits my dayton hub but is a wider wheel, not sure maybe that wheel is the answer.

Re: 503 engine
Neat! That's a really cool engine. A lot of guys like to talk about doing stuff to be different; I bet you'll be the only guy for quite a ways with a 503! The giant gasoline truck engines like that are a really neat part of history and very rare to see nowadays.
For the wheels, you might try looking through the Accuride wheel catalog (or similar) and/or calling them and asking about it or something. http://www.accuridewheelendsolutions...ummer-2011.pdf |

Re: 503 engine

Re: 503 engine
I see. What really threw me off though was the 22.5 that you mentioned. How can a 22.5 Rim fit on a 20 Inch Spoke?
