Early on, it had a Nova 10 bolt with parallel leaf kit. Here Im mocking up the boxing plates. Eventually I would scrap this whole set up & go a different route.

Re: My 54 Chev pickup - Contradiction

I am just about to start My Bear claw install. I see you shaved the handles, Electric Besr Claws? I am trying to keep the outside handles also inside. Any Ideas on how you will setting up the Interior linkage? I am thinking of using Microswitches to activate the latch.

Thoughts?

I will use solenoids to activate them by remote, but also I have some Phipps interior handles with cables.

Parts, parts & more parts...

Bags & bags of screws, clips, hardware, etc. Mostly from Classic Parts of America. It was still Chevy Duty when I started the whole project...

More boxes of parts... Those old school billets & raised white letters are from the previous owners vision. Gives an idea of how long this truck has been under construction...

Wide whites replaced the old school billets some time ago. They were also painted red at one time. I plan to also purchase a set of 20" Boss 338's to switch it up from time to time.

Re: My 54 Chev pickup - Contradiction

This past summer, I brought the truck to my house & really tore into it. Here I've gutted the old rear end set up & am installing the 4 link & disc brake rear

Re: My 54 Chev pickup - Contradiction

Mocking up the 8" step notch. I went with 6"

Starting to mock up the 4 link here.

Step notch is tacked in

Made and added boxing plates to mount the 4 link front mounts

mocking up bag mounts here

Upper & lower 4 link arms tacked in place

Bag mounts tacked in

Old frame section has been cut out between the notch

Now its finally as low as I wanted!

I also raised the upper front shock mounts on the Mustang II front end to get another inch of drop up front...

The token visual aid... And possibly a bit of irony with the Throwback can...
