Re: 72 Suburban Custom ipad mini Console build

Thanks. I would love to hear the 4 15's in person. Someday I would like to build something like a manufacture's show vehicle. Can't wait to see the rest of your console build.

Any more progress pic? Can't wait to see more on this console project. Had a quick question and thought you would know. I started my speaker pods for the doors, and I see a lot of people leave the grill cover off their mid-range speakers. Why do they do this? I assume this is done for for improved sound quality?

No. Crazy busy at work trying to finish up a 69 Camaro and just busy with life if general. Was hoping to be done by now. Most times they are left off for cosmetic purposes. Die hard sq guys may tell you they can hear a difference. If I don't use grills I either mount the speakers from behind or build a trim to hide the mounting hardware

I understand crazy busy with life. I have three kids 5 and under. I don't see how I do anything to my truck. I will have to think about what I want to do with my grill covers.

Yes, we need more updates....LOL. I need more "ideas" to copy for mine. I am going to buy a sheet of MDF and start soon. I started making a 6 1/2 grill cover from 304 stainless. I will get some pictures soon to share ideas.
