Re: Parting 1972 cheyenne C20 Big block truck

Jud if you happen to have a set of decent 72 latches I'd take them but more of a want than a need at the moment. I just thought that having a spare set of usable 72 door latches around could be a good idea. The green 72 K20 I looked at recently needs one for the RH side. If you sell me latches I'll have to buy that truck

Jud, understood about keeping the trim with the bed. If u do come across another that is straight LMK. When u get a chance could u post a pic of the fuel lines? No hurry on my end.

Thanks

Is there something different about the 72's? or do you just want them to be date correct? I think that K20 needs saving regardless

Re: Parting 1972 cheyenne C20 Big block truck

I know the window regulators are year specific but do not believe the door latches are. LMK if you can spare some door latches. I agree with you, it's one K20 that deserves to be saved. The owner told me (and I believe him) that the truck sat out front since November (the "for sale" sign disappeared that same month). Last week he jumped in, cranked it over a bit, and it fired right up! Starts much easier than my K5 or K20 and I use starter fluid.

Jud, thanks for the pics, sorry for the delay. They (door panels) appear to be in same condition or close to mine so I will pass on to next in line. Thanks Trevor

Scott, they're a little rusty, I think you can find better ones. I will look at trim soon, is black ok or do you need woodgrain?

Yes, it is. Shipping wont be cheap but I could do $95 shipped for bar and brackets.

I think so, let me check. If not, I probably have from another truck. $25 shipped for one.

Probably would need a rebuild. Let me check it out Pete. So you were able to resist picking up the K20?
