Re: door logo???

There's a post on here about a non permanent door logo material.

I think it was like a plasti dip, and it just peels off if you don't like

19673ontree- nice truck...the logo looks awesome!

As far as only looking good on patina ...give it 40 years.

Re: door logo???

I am all for door logo's on these trucks. BUT...
When a truck is as nice as yours is, putting on a door logo just ruins it.
I feel that a door logo is for vintage, patina'd, old looking trucks. Yours has that modern slammed big rim look.
Picture this as a side by side comparison:
19673ontree is perfect for a door logo
Any of C/10 King's logo trucks (all have a vintage look; either wheels, patina, less than perfect paint, etc...)
Then, picture any truck you would see at a Good-Guys show... all shiney, with $2000+ in wheels with blinding chrome and all perfectly polished.

Your truck would look more at home with a logo sticker in the back window.
A Door Logo is a kick-back to the old days in my opinion... Your truck is a modernized old truck.
But please don't ask me to define that fineline of when you should and when you shouldn't, because there are exceptions. I am sure 5 people could show me an exception within 24 hours.
If I were you I would leave your truck AS IS, but it IS your truck.
Keep In mind this is just my opinion.

Re: door logo???

I think the issue is Eric's trucks paint is not as nice as it appears in the pics. He and I have talked several times about faux patina on the truck because the paint was not perfect. But I think now he is leaning toward a full custom paint job which if that's the case then I would forget the door logo unless there was a reason to put it on there such as a business. Just my two cents.
