Re: No more pawpaw truck

Well the fact that I couldn't tow with it like that. Plus too much money to do it right.

Re: No more pawpaw truck

I have no idea what a "pawpaw truck" is, but it looked fine before the front lift. Looks good after too, though.

I wouldn't do anything drastic until I drove it a while. New coil springs will sag some within the first 1000 miles or so. They "take a set". Once that is done, you'll be looking at your final stance and can make changes from there to suit your tastes.

I think a load leveling style hitch would help while towing the camper.
Keeps the truck level without altering the suspension.

Got a brand new one. Came with the rv. I never pull the rv with this truck. Use a '12 silverado. This pic was just an example

Didn't mean 2wd. Meant to say "half ton" height.

As I recall another problem with lowering the 8 lug was the high cost of parts.

Ok, you buy them for me then.

Spindles shocks, coils, all the rear work tires you're looking at about 2k.

No thanks

Re: No more pawpaw truck

Update. Truck was aligned today. Came out fine no issues with the new springs. Also had all four wheels rebalanced since the last time I did it was 35,000 miles ago when I bought the tires

How much did the new springs set you back?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
