I'm thinking it should be the front hole. I know the first truck I did this to the engine didn't have the hole for the ball-stud. I had to pull it back out and drill and tap a hole for it. Man, that's been 40 years ago! Also learned not to trust sellers, he said it was a 350, but it was a 305.
