Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
Although I've seen a lot of great Chevys, that Mack has to be one of the coolest "pick-ups" I've seen yet.
Only my truck would have to have Stacks for sure. Bill

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
After the Springfield, Mo show, I have too much going on in upstate NY between the 6th and the 16th of June. So, I'll miss Macungie for the 2nd year in a row.

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
That is a very cool B series Mack. Those trucks seem like there are so many aftermarket parts for them.

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
That's a shame,Dan. I've been hoping I'd see you there. I recon I'm going, but you never know. Hopefully next year or somewhere else before too long. The ATHS national show in York,PA will be here before you know it. This is all closer for me than you, though. Bill, you should try to make one of these shows.
I've seen quite a few Mack B pickup jobs, but this is probably the best. I've seen some lousy jobs, too. I sold a pair of long Stepsides to a guy a couple years ago that was using them on a Mack B. I hope to see that one done one day. I've always wanted to build a big Stepside by widening the bed rather than use a Fleetside with fenders on it

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
The black "B" and a red Kenworth powered by an 8V92TA were built by a guy in Caldwell, Ohio. Last February on returning from the Florida Flywheelers show , I stopped at his hardware store..............He also has a readymix business and construction company . He took me next door to his maintenance garage and showed me his newest creation, a crew cab 4 door Peterbilt with a 12V71 twin turbo out of a Terex machine. One mechanic was working on the truck, another stretching the Dodge pickup bed. Ed is his first name but a senior moment won't let me remember the last name. Tomorrow I'll have it !

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
I'm working on it, lol. I'm finally starting to go to some local shows, although they are mostly cars. It sure would be nice to see all these great trucks someday!

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
Not finished yet but I really wanted 4x4 so here is my Napco Power Pack... I had to kick up the Power a bit though... and I see why they didn't use 318's from the factory...

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
My C50 in progress, it will be just another LB fleetside with fender flares to cover the super singles.
Looking for Mid 80's C60 front disk brake front axle for 22.5 Alcoa's. Rear disk axle now in place with disks from a TopKick.

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
Love the 4 doors!!!! Both trucks are so so nice!
If you could tell me are the wheels GM 10 bolt or standard Semi 285mm hub centric? Also what years are the trucks?

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
The white truck is a 1978 Chevy C6500. The blue one is a 1988 GMC Topkick. Both trucks have regular size Budd stud-pilot wheels. I know what you mean when you mention the GM 10 bolt wheels, they are difficult to find in a 22.5 tubeless size.

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
The 1978 has hydraulic drums, the 1988 has air brakes. I have built several disc brake trucks, they are simple, cheap and work really well.

Re: Man Pick Up Trucks!
Dino, I am looking for the rear fender flares and have not seen them available anymore. If you have any leads on any please let me know. I am doing another C50 pickup but this time with more modern braking and rims. If I can't find the fender flares I will use front fenders grafted into the bed. (looking for them too.
thanks!
