Wink Re: Minimum value of a 68 K10 SWB

I've always been curious as to production #'s for the 68 short fleet 4x4. Thanks op for creating this thread! I drive mine every chance I get, never had any reliability issues at all with regards to the closed knuckles, transfer case and the like.

Clint, looks like you got a good deal, thats a rare truck for sure. Does it have the real rare ram assist setup?

Cool, i was wondering about the closed knuckles. Is the turning radius not too bad?

Jud this truck is a 69. That was the first year (I think) for the power steering gearbox on 4x4's just like the newer trucks. I would like to find a ram style setup though haha!

Re: Minimum value of a 68 K10 SWB

I bought mine in 2006 for about $1600 on Ebay. It was rusty but has a 327 and it ran, kinda. Mine will have original frame, springs and drivetrain except for the front axle which I swapped from a newer chevy.

It's still a "project" as you can see...

Of course, Its clear now that I'm on a PC that the side badging isn't right for a 68.

Re: Minimum value of a 68 K10 SWB

Turning radius has never been a problem for me.

My 68 has power steering but it may have been added at some point? Sure am glad it's there though!

$1200.00 for my 67 K10 lwb last year. Craigslist. Just converted from 3 on the tree to sm465. Starting major bodywork next. Less than 3000 built.
