They are Sanderson street rod blockhuggers, good quality, but super short...meant purely for applications with no space.

That back tire/wheel combo is PERFECT! I would guess a 4" back space wheel.

Re: My 73 pickup...parts hauler/work truck

I've never understood why rear axles don't have drain plugs from the factory?...So I added one in the cover and a fill plug that's easier to use than the one on the front side.

may not look so great, but the benefits outweigh that.

Aluminum heads, and chromemoly roller rockers...smaller combustion chambers to bump up the compression ratio, and 1.6 ratio rockers to increase the lift to work better with the heads...

Re: My 73 pickup...parts hauler/work truck

For future reference for anyone else... the port location in relation to the spark plugs on these Promaxx heads was just different enough from the stock heads that my old headers wouldn't work.

I ended up modifying some old headers I had to work...total Pain!

Headers are something I think it's worth paying up for to get some good quality ones...I plan to change them sometime in the future.

I like a little bit narrower front tire than most guys.
At your front ride height, do you think a 255-60 tire would clear the front fender lips on 15x8 rally wheel (4.25" backspacing)?

How much drop did you get with the Belltech spindles and flip kit? And how does the flip kit work? I've never done anything with rear leafs other than remove/install them.

My 82 C10 (below) has 6.5" van rallys installed by some previous owner, but they sit inboard way too much. I had planned to go to wider rallys, but was gonna keep it at stock height until I saw yours!

Re: My 73 pickup...parts hauler/work truck

It may fit...it would be tight and I don't think it would look very good anyway...but I realize most guys use bigger front tires.

It's about a 6" drop in the front, not sure exactly in the rear.

A "flip kit" relocates the axle so that it sits on top of the springs (rather than below the springs as it is in stock form) Then the frame is notched above the axle to allow for up and down travel of the axle.
