Shawn those are slick - apparently the rocker boxes were replaced on my K5 by the PO because steps had been welded to the OEM boxes. Too bad he tossed the OEM pieces out - I'm (probably wrongly) imagining Hickey folders gone to the landfill. I actually have a folding little step stool I keep in the cab too - helps when I need to get to the carburetor, etc. under the hood.

Ditto on all the trucks here - I never tire of looking at 4wd's

Landry I sent you a pm so I don't clutter up the thread with winch stuff.

Re: 67-72 guys, what's your lift and tires? I want your pics and info!

Wanting to run a TC 2.5 lift on my K20 burb and noticed a few trucks are running a 4 inch rear spring in the back instead of the 2.5 available as a kit.

The ORD 4 inch shackle reversal kit is cheaper than replacement springs but I am worried that the design (SR) may not be up to towing a 30ft trailer.

Anyone with a burb or do a lot of heavy towing run an all 2.5 in lift or 4 inch ORD SR kit?

My Jimmy with 4" Rancho front springs and National 4" HD rear springs. 8 lug conversion with semi-float 14 bolt. Perches redrilled to move rear back 1".

Front of quarters pie-cut to make more round wheel well (rubbed with 12 bolt still in it.) One of my front fenders rubs turning (passenger side) but that's because it was tweaked eons ago before my dad even bought the truck and it's not the right shape.

This pic has 36 12.5 16.5 Goodyear Wrangler II's on it, but they are the same height as the 35 12.5 15 BFG MT's that were on it and the 35 12.5 BFG AT's that are presently on it.
