Re: Picked up another 72 C10
Not a huge update but with a 1 year old and another one on the way any progress is a miracle! Finally put on the used chrome bumper I had set aside to go with the rear sport bumper, not perfect but OEM and good enough for me. I also cleaned the interior up and reinstalled the sun visors. Put on a cleaned up a set of yellow caps I picked up and made blue. Also chased a few oil leaks and bled the brakes. I was happy to get out on such a nice day and get work done, managed to detail the other vehicles and rake the yard... happy wife happy life...
My helper hard at work, gotta keep the truck chocked... he's figured out the shifter! |

Re: Picked up another 72 C10
Well, after my wife told me we're expecting our second child I knew this needed to happen... I sold the cleanest 72 out of the handful I've owned over the years. Only took a few hours on craigslist, it went to a couple of guys that have several 60-72 GM trucks so it's in good hands. I enjoyed the truck and hate that I didn't get to finish my vision for it but I got to enjoy it for a while so I can't complain. Doubt I'll ever see another one that straight and rust free for what I had tied up in it... Farewell blue truck!

Re: Picked up another 72 C10
Back in the 90's My brother had a 72 that was almost a twin to this. Same color combo/ stripe, same engine trans. It had a light blue interior and also lower trim moldings. Compeletly rust free including rockers. He bought it wrecked for $500 and we found a complete perfect front clip, incluisng inner and outer grill for $150 (!) we straightened the bent frame horns with a torch and come along. He had it repainted in stock combo. Lotta good memories in that truck. Swapped in a performance cam and the 3sp for a th400 he had and added a 650 holley and intake for the 2 barrel. He added tilt tach and a full foam seat with new cheyenne super cover. It got stolen stripped and recovered. Cab rolling chassis engine and trNs went for $2300 at insurance Auction.
