Okay you asked, so nobody jump down my throat. If you are going to do that, then buy something else. Or put another way, why did you buy a time capsule original if you plan on changing it? It's rare to find a nicely kept original, especially a 4x4 Blazer. This truck was obviously cherished by the previous owner. Would you buy a prize stud horse and neuter it? There are plenty of other less "loved" vehicles to "customize". Also, I'm usually one of the few "stock rocks" members and I've noticed several members who usually side with the "make it your own" mentality that actually agree with me in this case. Good luck with it.

What a beauty! I'd sure consider leaving it stock since it is such wonderful shape.

Its yours
I am partial to stockers too but also understand personal preferences. I have seen several trucks Dana has built over the past 10 yrs. He ALWAYS does a top notch job and goes the extra mile. I have never seen him botch one and often keeps them close to original and tasteful. Hopefully Dana will add his touches to this truck and share it with us when done. Believe me he will do this truck and our hobby justice. I have to say he builds some of the nicest trucks this board has been graced with (based on personal viewing IMHO).
Dana; Do you thing. I see stock seat covers, new sport bumpers, am/fm radio, tach, tilt, tires/wheels (I would do ralleys), etc. Enjoy!!

I agree with the "stock rocks", oddly enough. It would be a sin to try anything to that truck, don't you remeber haven your parents telling you not to mess with something and you went ahead and did and just screwed your self cause you didn't listen. This thread reminds of that but this time take it into consideration.

You've got a nice truck. Key here is it is yours! I think it would look great with a 6" Lift & 35's! If you do, keep the stock stuff too - Just in case. Very NICE! Do you mind us asking how much you paid? I'd like to know if I should start bugging some people!

Hey, since I'm in the market, would it be uncool to ask how much you paid for it?

That looks like a Blazer that belonged to another board member that was diagnosed with cancer. We resized a pic for him about a year ago. It was a pic of him and his wife in front of his Blazer that Looked very much like this one. I'll have to see if I can find that pic now
Nice ride!! I don't say this very often, but keep it stock! ouch, that kinda hurt to say

Very Nice!!!
There is nothing better than a well maintained, original vehicle. I don't care what it is...unless it's a F*rd!! Treasure it.

Keep it stock!!!!!!!!!!! That blazer has been well taken care off and deserves to be pampered. That truck is probably one of the most original blazers in the country. It would look great with a lift. if you want one with a lift and mods I'll trade you mine,It's got a new engine and trans brakes and suspension
remember it's only original once.

You asked for opinions . . . .
There are pleanty of rusted out, beat up old rigs out there to lift and take stompin' in the mud. I would defenantly keep if stock. I would change the oil however. And add an HEI distributer. Congratulations!!!!! Darren

Stock!!!!!!!!! Lifting that work of art would be a crime! We are not still in high school, at least most of us. Lifting a truck that is as untouched as that Blazer would be like buying a new Hummer and taking a torch to the top and putting in a sunroof! Then painting happy faces all over it along with peace signs.. Stock is the way to stay!

I would keep it the way it is. If you want to lift one, buy one that has been molested.

Thanx for all the feed back, and all the compliments. Yes it is the original paint, the grille guard is not factory, and the bug shield and 8-track were installed at the dealership when it came in, and oh I forgot the cb was a dealer item too. does any one have pics of 35''s and a 4'' lift on a blazer I could look at??? Yes, you guys I'm probably going to lift it. I have a set of redone 15x8 ralleys with new rings and caps, with a new set of 35" bfg mud TAs. Also I went down to the chevy dealer and bought 4 big bowtie mud flaps so each corner has its own protection. oh and yes I already planned to keep all stock stuff upstairs in my shop, tires&wheels, springs and shocks & etc. Yes this will be my new daily driver. Yes I'm pround to be its owner. Thanx alot you guys Dana
