Finally got a chance to grab some more pics for you guys.
This is how she looked after I rolled it off the trailer. Don't mind the thumb. The guy I bought it from told me "Runs great! No need for a trailer!" I doubt I'd have made it an hour out of town let alone the 7 hours home... Engine bay - after I removed the oil bath cleaner. Yup. That's carpet for a seat cover, a speedo taped to the column and the worlds largest tach screwed to the bottom of the dash... some peoples kids He'd had a new windshield installed but kept the old seal "to match the truck" Story goes the original owner pulled the truck out of a ditch or something by the bumper...with a chain...said chain snapped and took out the grille insert. A forum member has already emailed me about a good replacement insert though, Viva la Internet! So this is my starting point! Already gathering parts and halfway through rebuilding my brakes. Onward and upward! Luckily I work at a dealership and my boss is about as packrat as they come, we still have a parts book. |
