Re: Fastest speed
My 69 GMC with a mild SB 406 will hit 100 really quick, but I don't ever push it any faster. Given the aerodynamics of these trucks, the front end gets light, and about all you can do is aim it after that.

I have 373 gears 275/60's and a TH350 so my top speed in the truck has only been up to 110 while screaming the whole way. Been to 155 on my 900RR and 135 in my 68 GTO years ago. |

Re: Fastest speed
When I bought my truck it had a boat anchor of a 350 that I pulled out and put in a 327 I would hold it in second until 100 and then got up to about 120. She has a 402 in her now and I have been up to 130. It would go faster if it would stay on the road.
