Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Mr. Wolffcub, I am sorry to hear of your experiences, in today's competitive retail environment there is absolutely no excuse for poor customer service. You sir, have shown much more patience than I would have tolerated. Before 8 wks were up I would have canceled my whole order whether I needed the parts after the first missed promise.
Your experiences and well as the other replies to this thread have at least convinced me not to patronize this business. Hope things work out for you. |

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Well all can say is Patrick's ears must be burning. The brown truck showed up today with all the stuff we had ordered from Patrick's. All good looking stuff, hope it works as good as it looks.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Went online to gather the exact original transaction date and time so i could call my visa a cancel my visa payment. I noticed that yesterday afternoon there was a new charge from him for $83. I'm going to have to call him now but I am guessing its for the shipping costs as he probably sent it out yesterday............finally!!!
I bet you its still wrong anyways as I cancelled the camshaft from the order numerous times directly with him on the phone and i still see no refund for the $150. Bet you it will arrive with it in the box with the other parts, so now Im paying shipping on that weight and size.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Glad to hear that you may finally get your parts, however, nothing has happened until the brown truck pull up and you have the box of exact, unblemished stuff you paid for. Good customer service would have also included a return phone call with a tracking # and apology.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Well, I opened up the stuff they sent, and discovered that the water pump was wrong(later model pump). I called and talked to Phillip, and he said he had the correct pump on the shelf and he said he'd send it out on the way home from work. We'll see.

Brothers took over two months to get me a bunch of front suspension stuff. Basically burned up a bunch of the time I had to help my son get his truck moving along in the spring. We did get everything but it did take a while and estimates I was given were not accurate. Now we are traveling and I am super busy at work so hopefully we will find time to get it all together this summer at some point.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
I sincerely hope not. The local car show is coming up in a month, and I'd rather not enter this truck as "under construction.
Still waiting on the bee hive oil filter housing and bracket, also, although the oil lines were in one of the boxes.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
HOLY CARP! Talked to Phillip at about 2pm on Wed the 15th. Checked my mailbox on the way home yesterday, on Thurs, the 16th, and there was my water pump from Patrick's.
Now that's the way customer service ought to be...24 hours, Arizona to Arkansas.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
I get the stories of waiting and know that businesses sometimes "get behind the eight ball". I thought it only fair to share my positive experience. It has been a few years back but I found a new set of Patrick's 3.55 gears on ebay at a substantial savings. Right up to the point that they were for a car and not a truck like I needed. Patrick's exchanged them for me and even covered shipping of the new gears to me stating the car kit had slightly more expensive bearings. Neither kit had the shims and pin for the torque tube so they sent that to me. I told them I felt like I owed them for those parts at the very least. They told me what those parts sold for and that I could pay if I wanted but was not obligated to. They went above and beyond to take care of me. Customer service was unbeatable...
That being said, I have heard the stories about how they have got behind with some of their vendors and how at times parts were not being sent to them until their account was settled. I believe that is most likely the root of the horror stories. (not that they don't want to take care of business as it should be, just that they are juggling behind the scenes) I know other vendors have jumped to take advantage of the "exposed jugular" and had competing parts made offshore to sell at a lower price. Sometimes good people are not so good at business. I think the intentions are good, it is just that there is probably a lot of paddling behind the scenes. Glad your order worked out. I wish for both you and Patrick's that it was a more positive experience from start to finish. I bet that if you have issues with any of the parts, he will be quicker to try and resolve the issue than some of the copy vendors would be. |

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Finlay got my items in today. Only took 74 days! Lifters were all nicely rolling around loose in a small box and 2 look to have nasty nicks in the bottom area and the sides. The camshaft was not shipped and that's good but still to date see no credit for it back on my visa.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
those tiny nicks are cosmetic. Be much better to find the hardness of the lifter foot and use the right oil to prevent flat lobes on the cam.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
So i have been calling them every work week day since I got my shipment. No answer and goes right to answering machine. Must have closed for a month or so. Still have not got a credit for the camshaft that was taken off the order.

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
Tried different numbers even using friends with other area codes. Has anyone else been able to get thru to them lately?

Re: Being jerked around by Patricks
If they haven't given you good service to date what makes you think they will tomorrow.
You need to stop futsing around with them and go to your credit card company and file a complaint and ask the CC co. for the money back before its to late |
