Re: Need your input on my 85 GMC Grill and Wheels

I bought the grill for $21.99 from Summit Racing. Wow! You can get the same grill, with all 3 letters from LMC, Truck Shop, etc, for 199-230. Basically meaning you're paying 150-175 just for the emblem letters!

Is that middle truck ( Brown) Indian Bronze? Looks like the same color as my 85 GMC. What are the wheel specs.

Darn...I guess I am showing my age but love the original Phantom grill. Hate the rims.

That center truck, the 65 c10, is actually a bright red color. 15" wheels. Must be the lighting.

If this is in reply to my post I was refering to ultrahd4me`s post which I quoted. I do see your 65 as bright red and its a very clean truck.

No worries man. BTW, I like the oem grill better than the phantom grill.

Re: Need your input on my 85 GMC Grill and Wheels

I have my stock 85 gmc grille hanging in my garage. It was cracked in some places and I used some jb weld to fix is and it's only so so.

Plenty of single unit GMC emblems out there. You can find letter G and letter M, on ebay and GM truck places, but there are no "C"s to be had. Stupid! Apparently, this truck isn't old enough, or popular enough for someone to reproduce them yet.

Pretty sure LMC and brothers repop the letters. They are pricey at $19.95 each though.

HEY...keep the wheels and grille in your garage rafters...It's been 20 years plus already...those things will be back in style in no time.
