today i serviced the transmission with new filter and fluid. also installed a new aluminum trans pan with drain plug. also serviced the rear diff with new fluid and installed a new aluminum cover with drain plug in it as well.

??? i guess you are referring to the motor mounts/frame mounts? that is a given in the 4.3 to 5.3 swap as the 5.3 wont come near bolting in otherwise.... ??? i think anyone doing a motor swap is inclined that motor mounts/frame mounts likely wont work from one series of engine/4.3 to the next 5.3.

all i had to do was add injector wires, coil wires, cam sensor wires, and re pigtailed the knock sensor wires. it was not hard at all. the rest of the v6 sensors and pigtails worked fine on the v8

Thanks! I have a 4.3 in my regular cab, daily driver. Gets worse gas mileage that my 5.3 truck had before. Gonna run this buzzin half dozen til it quits (hopefully a long time), but been thinking would replace with 5.3 when the time comes.
