If you have a lift, you can do a sway bar disconnect that lowers the swaybar connection just a bit. I have this but don't really use it. Probably just new bushings and you're good.

I don't think there is enough room for zerk to remain in place for the upper joint. The lower joint zerk is vulnerable of getting hit from a rock so that also needs the plug. I think you are good to go!
