Edelbrock also has a sump tank unit that many mount up front on the radiator support. Go to YouTube and watch install videos of the Holley Terminator, MSD Atomic, EZ-Fast, and the Edelbrock E-Street. Many Pump/Tank install options with or without the SumpKit/FCC.
The Edelbrock tank looks like its a lot bigger than the FITech one. I looked at that one a while ago but couldn't see a good way to fit it without moving other stuff.

Cool! I'm going the same route as you.
First I'll get the FiTech EFI all up and running, then make the switch to Computer Controlled Timing.
Originally I thought my existing distributor was a nice MSD, so I was going to hold off on the timing control feature, but mines just an old GM HEI with a pretty MSD cap and wires.

My current dizzy is a Msd street Fire hei. Basically a exact gm hei replica with a few nicer internal parts. Don't throw your dizzy away. May be a street fire also

No, I found a stamped number on the side. It's out of a 77 vet.
Either way, I won't be throwing it away.

As far as I can tell, the only thing we need is a coil and phasing rotor. Nothing else is needed for the ECU.

CORRECTO FRIENDO I may buy an extra cap to drill a hole in to phase the rotor. Look it up on YouTube. Msd has a nice write up.

Yep, already saw that video. In the last couple weeks I think I've watched every msd video there is. Along with every FiTech, E-Street, Terminator, EZ-Fast, Atomic video there is. :-D

Yes, but it isn't that big. There's a forum post of it next to a pop can.

What in cab heater are you using?
I'm thinking about installing my FCC there on the passenger's firewall.

Awesome install! This may have already been asked, but why do you have two A/C compressors? Or is one acting as an air compressor for a bagged suspension?
Thanks!

In regards to the phenolic spacer- how much of an issue is heat soak on a FI throttle body?

Re: FITECH EFI 600 Basic and Command center intall with pics, factory tank

I collect and restore 100% real train horns and bells. I converted the compressor on the drivers side to an air compressor. I run 3 tanks. The 12 in back and 2 3 gallons for a total of 18 gallons at 200 psi regulated to 130 for the horns. No bags on the truck. Just a weird LOUD hobby. These are my 1957 bronze chambered Leslie supertyfons S5T and bell. Both off the same 1950's Norfolk Southern unit

I wonder if it helps with fuel atomization, probably not much. I have a 1" spacer under my carb and I was wondering if I should keep it with the fuel injection or just remove it.
I wonder if anyone has done a test to see if it makes a difference or not.
