Re: 70 day crunch
The gas cap came from one of the motorcycle places. It came with the weld in bung and I fabricated the actual filler neck. I'll look and see if I can find exactly where I got it from.

Re: 70 day crunch
That may be all it gets before it's over with. I'm hoping to have the paint work finished up by next weekend and that'll leave me 21 days for buffing, assembly, wiring, glass and interior. Your plan sounds better though..

Re: 70 day crunch
I need all the help I can get. My 16 year old nephew was helping me out with what he could but he decided to get a real job on me a couple weeks ago. I wish it were a wood bed floor.

Re: 70 day crunch
Truck looks great! Did you paint inside and outside the bed same day? Just asking because I am trying to figure the best way to paint mine. Thanks

Re: 70 day crunch
It's always been easier to me to paint the inside of the bed separately from the outside. In my case I had to because I used a matte clear on the inside of the bed and regular clear on the outside.

Truck is gonna sweet when done! I have some question about your gas cap I love the look of it. What tank did you use and any other pics from the underside of the bed?

Had the windshield installed yesterday. I'm working on getting the door glass and vent windows finished up.

Re: 70 day crunch
Despite countless hours in the last 70 days the crunch is over. As of 5:30 pm yesterday the engine has given up and with the wedding this Saturday, there's no time or money to make this happen.

Re: 70 day crunch
She's going back under wraps until I can get the engine repaired/replaced. Truly a sad day at my house.

Re: 70 day crunch
Ahhh this sux majorly!!! Sorry to hear the bad news, I can only imagine how upsetting it is. I might have thrown several tools down the driveway if it were me.
I'll still be looking forward to future pics, and your daughter and son-in-law can still take it for a cruise and some pics together in the future. It'll make a good prop for family pics when the grandkids come along one day |

I'm sorry. So close.
There'll be another momentous occasion for it to make it's debut... |
